HOW TO VISIT T T M
Come and discover - at only a ten-minute walk from the Vieux Port – a model railway (railroad) system at a scale of 1/ 22,5 and a 60m track-length. It is located on a 60-m² terrace on the ninth floor of an apartment building. Using wireless remote boxes, you may yourself operate 12 trains from level 0 to level + 80 cm, through a layout of desert landscape, green spaces, ravines, a stone viaduct, tunnels mountains etc. Bring your own material, operate the points, make up your trains, move them around, push or spot the cars at any location . About 20 LGB points LGB, working independently or according to track sections with a digital system, allow manoeuvres on the tracks of a stone pit as well as on the depot with a triangle of tracks. The rolling stock consists of 12 digitized and sound-producing locomotives LGB (steam, electric, diesel, railcar, tram), freight cars and passenger cars. The locomotives (double traction is possible) and the points can be worked by visitors by means of 3 remote-control boxes and a control panel. The rolling stock is equipped with KADDEE couplings and thus allows realistic shuntings along the station platforms, which are animated by PREISER figurines and illuminated by LUXITRAIN lighting. The electric power for the system is provided by 3 LGB transformers of 5 amps each, a digital control and 2 boosters. Moreover, from the 9-th-floor terrace you have a spectacular view of NOTRE DAME DE LA GARDE (the famous Marseille landmark) and L’ESTAQUE ( a western suburb of Marseille frequented by famous painters at the beginning of the 20th century).
